ON-SITE NITROGEN GENERATION – HOW IT WORKS
1 – Nitrogen Generator is an electro-pneumatic, compressed air machine, which separates nitrogen from other gases in the air. Our nitrogen generators utilize proprietary membrane separation technology. The membrane separates compressed air into two streams: one is 99,99% pure nitrogen and the other is air enriched with oxygen, carbon dioxide, water and other gases. The gas separation process preferentially adsorbs oxygen over nitrogen using carbon molecular sieve (CMS). At high pressures the CMS has a greater affinity for oxygen, carbon dioxide, and water vapor.
Total absence of moving parts has the benefit of low maintenance costs. Kompressor systems utilize generators of the most prestigious international brands such as Parker and Atlas Copco.
2 – High-pressure Booster: driven by an electric motor is a high pressure compressor (Pmax 350 bar) built with specific components suitable for the treatment of high purity nitrogen (over 99.99%), which allows to accumulate large quantities of gas in special cylinders, to minimizing the overall dimensions of storage.
Our firm choice is a German booster’s manufacturer Lenhard & Wagner Gmbh ,which we represent for more than 20 years. L&W compressors are certified and homologated according to EN 12021 standards, which certified only the maximum purity of provided gas, so pure to be used in medical field and industry. Our SILENT versions with a noise level of just 64dB at 1mt of distance is perfect for the production lines or around densely populated areas, where low noise level in very important.
3 – Storaging: L&W also provides storage units for each filling pressure and offers various modular solutions which can be expanded at any time according to the requirements. Gaseous nitrogen is stored in high-pressure cylinders, which are designed and manufactured according to applicable codes and specifications for the pressures and temperatures involved. These vessels are manufactured according to Department of Transportation and ASME regulations, which specify the material of construction, method of manufacture, testing, and with what products they are permitted to be filled, as well as other details. The quantity of product a container can hold is determined by its pressure rating and internal volume.
The most commonly used high-pressure cylinders are designed to hold gases at pressures up to 350 bar; some ultra-high pressure commercial cylinders will contain gas at pressures up to 500 bar. Nitrogen storage tanks are normally placed outdoors to be compliant with safety rules and regulations. Our nitrogen systems(from production line to storage ) are made with Lenhard & Wagner’s high pressure components ,regularly certified at the end of the installation and testing.
